Structural steel design, connection design, 3D modeling, and shop drawings for 2,000 m² Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) platform structure for TAV Construction in Istanbul’s Atatürk Airport. The structure involved working around existing reinforced concrete and mechanical systems. For the BHS platform, BIM collaboration was intensely used with mechanical designers. Checking of existing structures was also performed based on the Turkish Seismic Code. 800tons of steel were used in the projects.
