This winding design won the first prize in an architectural competition held by the city of Gemlik. ATTEC has provided the structural design of this challenging geometry with structural steel deck and beams suspended by cables anchored on top of inclined steel pipe masts. The masts sit on tapered, rounded, and inclined concrete pylons. The approach ramps will be made with 30cm thick concrete slab helically winding around the masts. The ramp concrete will be supported by single steel columns at approximately every 12m. The structural steel was 60tons.
